Gary Boon
With former clients including the BBC, BUPA and T-Mobile, Gary Boon has been referred to as one of the country’s most experienced digital professionals. Previously the Technical Director and Board member at one of the largest digital agencies in the North East, Gary’s contribution as head of the development team, helped the business become a Deloitte Fast 50 Company and a top 100 agency in the NMA list. Prior to this, Gary was the lead architect for the world’s first e-Cash smart card system and the principle architect behind Chip and Pin, subsequently rolled out across the world.
Ian Baggett
Founder and Managing Director of Adderstone Group, one of the largest property development, management and construction businesses in the North East of England, Ian Baggett, has successfully taken Adderstone from inception into both the North East’s Fastest 50 Company List and Top 250 List. In 2007, Ian was named North East Entrepreneur of the Year.
Phil Harvey
A Microsoft Certified Professional Developer, Phil has extensive experience in developing web based customer relationship management systems and IP telephony integration for a wide range of market sectors including law, finance, aviation and logistics. Phil has also been a technical lead developing web applications for clients including the BBC and the Entrepreneurs Forum.
Gary Hosmer
Entrepreneur Gary Hosmer began his illustrious career patenting a method of gas separation and founding Nitrox Ltd, a multi-national company manufacturing nitrogen gas generators, selling products to 70 countries worldwide. Displayed in the Millennium Dome in 2000, Nitrox gas generators were named one of the 100 best British inventions of the 20th century. Having received the Queens Award for Technology and the Award for Export twice, Gary went on to found Easy Quote in 1999, one of the first price comparison websites in the UK, one of Google’s first customers in Europe and one of the last decade’s most successful online businesses.
Andy Brown
Andy Brown has won several web build awards and been technically commended for accessibility on a range of projects throughout his career. He has also lead several large-scale web design, development and maintenance ventures for clients such as Capita and Northern Rock, projects requiring a capability for handling millions of transactions daily. A regular speaker at the British Computer Society on accessible web design, Andy is Shout’s representative to the W3C on accessibility.
