One of Shout's iPhone applications, TV Genie, was featured in the sun this week. National press exposure really goes to show that Shout are making noises in the mobile application market.

SOAP fans who miss their favourite show can now catch up with plots on their iPHONE.

A 59p app called TV Genie sends users details of all the UK's favourite shows - even while abroad.

It was invented by Gary Boon, technical director of Newcastle company Shout Digital.

Gary, 38, said: "Not everyone has time to watch all their favourite TV shows, so the app is the easiest way to keep up to date with what's going on."

The gizmo also contains a database of past TV shows, plus season guides, episode breakdowns, ratings and cast details."
