The Challenge

St. Ermin's Hotel London, once infamous for the exploits of the British Intelligence services, was now seeking a different kind of notoriety. A relaxed and elegant hotel at one of the most prestigious addresses in the heart of Central London had just had a £30 million makeover and partnered with Shout to ensure that everybody knew about it.

The Solution

We needed to come up with a digital strategy that took into account St. Ermin’s wealthy, discerning and global audience.

Our first step was a full redesign of the existing web site. Utilising intelligence gathered from analysis and user insight from the old St. Ermin’s Hotel site, we designed and built a fresh, user experience driven, responsive site. We also planned and executed a bespoke digital marketing strategy in order to foster authentic customer engagement and drive room bookings and ultimately ROI.

Our online marketing experts coordinated a distinctively individual campaign. We integrated full social media functions. PPC advertising was carefully and strategically researched and bid upon. Sparkling ad copy targeted highly qualified traffic. We then reached out to blog influencers and digital media movers and shakers to generate traffic, conversations, followers and advocacy.

We also built and search optimised multilingual versions of the site in line with St. Ermin's core international demographics.

The Result

Within 12 months of working with Shout Digital, St. Ermin’s Hotel’s online reservation conversions more than doubled, rising from 800 a fortnight to more than 1800 a fortnight.

This positively impacted room occupancy rates, which exceeded 80 percent for the first time.

More than seven years into the partnership, occupancy rates remain consistently between 80 to 90 per cent through our consistent commitment to maintaining St. Ermin’s online positioning.
