Northumbria University came to Shout with a brief to refresh and rebuild their existing website on the Sitecore experience platform to cater for a diverse set of audiences, each with its own individual needs and behaviours.
In addition to this, the project had clear requirements to migrate existing content and integrations from their outdated CMS into a new platform that allowed for greater control over the presentation and publishing of content alongside the ability for many users to edit and work on site content simultaneously without confusion or the speed issues that were present on their existing content management system.
The implementation of Sitecore has allowed Northumbria University to communicate more effectively and personally with its wide range of stakeholders from initial student recruitment through to onboarding prospective research candidates and staff members.
The Sitecore migration, and improvements made to the Northumbria University website build have provided the University with the power and flexibility to create and manage content with significantly more efficiency and accountability.
The Sitecore experience platform and its associated experience analytics platform has also allowed for the automated personalisation of site content based on a site visitors intent or defined persona based on previous browsing behaviour - functionality which has allowed teams at Northumbria University to better understand the behaviour an needs of their website visitors.
