About the role

The Senior Azure Integration Software Engineer is tasked with architecting, developing, and maintaining advanced integration solutions using the Microsoft Azure platform. This role requires deep expertise in a broad range of Azure services including Logic Apps, Function Apps, Service Bus, API Management, and Cosmos DB, as well as proficiency in infrastructure as code (IaC) using ARM templates and Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines.

The candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that integration projects are executed with precision, aligning with strategic business goals and IT standards.

Main duties

  • Design and develop scalable, performant, cost effective and secure integration solutions using Azure Integration Services including Logic Apps, Service Bus, API Management and Cosmos DB.
  • Develop, deploy, and manage API solutions with Azure API Management, focusing on delivering high-quality services for internal and external use, including both RESTful and GraphQL APIs.
  • Support the adoption and implementation of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices using ARM templates.
  • Configure and maintain Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines to automate and streamline deployment processes.
  • Conduct migrations from legacy systems to Azure, ensuring minimal disruption of services.
  • Work closely with business and IT stakeholders to define requirements, prepare technical specifications, and ensure timely delivery of solutions that align with business needs.
  • Oversee the complete lifecycle of integration solutions, from concept and design to deployment and ongoing maintenance.
  • Create solutions to technical issues across product development, ensuring project deadlines are met.
  • Advocate for and ensure adherence to best practices in security, performance, and cloud integration.
  • Estimate/triage/implement solutions for P2 supportincidents and below.
  • Assist implementing, but not triage/estimate, solutions to P1 and below support requests.
  • Develop product functionality in line with agreed plans to set deadlines.
  • Assist in User Story writing, estimating and attending sprint ceremonies (including client facing).
  • Oversee production deployments (for feature & hotfix releases).
  • Mentor software engineers and provide technical leadership within the team.
  • Review & Approve Software Engineer pull requests.
  • Supporting role in developer recruitment.
  • Accurately record time in Harvest and submit reports promptly at the end of review periods.

Role requirements

  • BPSS clearance.
  • Expertise in Microsoft Azure services, specifically Logic Apps, Function Apps, Service Bus, API Management, and Cosmos DB.
  • Proficient in .NET/C#, with extensive experience developing and managing large scale integration solutions.
  • Experience with ARM templates and Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines.
  • Proven debugging and troubleshooting skills. You are a thinker, a logical mind ready to tackle the day-to-day challenges all modern developers face. You seek best practices and share your knowledge with others. You love working in teams, collaborating with developers and designers.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of people.
  • Experience working with version control systems such as GIT.
  • Experience working in agile software development teams, using tools such as Azure DevOps or Jira.
